The purpose of a Compliance Report is to confirm that a property is complaint in respect to building works and building use.
We lodge information access requests into Council records to find applicable approvals for building works and building use. After we have identified and accessed the relevant records of approval, we will review all documentation and summarise key findings. A Compliance Report is able to identify the following:
Building work approval (BA, DA, CDC etc.) i.e - Does the work have the required development approvals?
Building use approval (BA, DA, CDC etc.) i.e - Does the current use of the business or property have the required development approvals?
Whether an Construction Certificate (CC) and/or Occupation Certificate (OC) was issued for the building works or building use. E.g. A DA may have been issued, but the building work or use may not have the proper certification and has not been deemed to be fit for occupation.
Key operational conditions of consent relevant to the current use of the property. I.e. Hours of operation, capacity numbers, restrictions on cooking or services of food, trial periods etc.
